Wilton Youth Lacrosse - Girls Fall Program for 2019

The following program will be open for Girls in grades 5-8 this Fall. Please note that all new players are welcome. All players will be required to have a US Lacrosse Membership for which there is a membership fee. If you don't already have a membership, you will be walked through the process of setting up your US Lacrosse Membership during registration for the Fall Program.


Fall Clinics Grades:  5th-8th Grades

Similar to last year we will be offering fall clinics that will be led by Riley Hellstein, Emily Mason and supported by our varsity players.   Clinics are open to new players as well as existing travel players.   The focus of the sessions will be on stick skills development.   Cost for the clinics is $100. It doesn't matter if you can only can only come once a week. Hopefully you can come both sessions but its not required.

Emily Mason is the Asst. Varsity Coach at Wilton High School . Riley Hellstein is a recent grad of Fairfield University where she played 4 years of lacrosse. Riley was also MAAC player of the year her senior year.
 

Eligibility:  Girls previously registered as well as new to lacrosse in grades 5-8

Location:  North Field

Days:  Tuesdays and Fridays Starting September 3 and running till October 25th

Time:

  • 5th/6th Grade:   4pm-5pm
  • 7th/8th Grade:  5pm-6pm

Cost:  $100

Parameters:  

  • Grade:  3rd and 4th Grade
  • Cost:   Free and a US lacrosse membership is required for registration
  • Location:   North Field (next to Lilly)
  • Time:  3:00 – 4:00 (Friday’s)
  • Days:   9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18
  • Required Equipment:   Stick, Mouthpiece, Goggles

Once again we will be conducting free fall clinics for 3rd and 4th grade.    The sessions are for girls that have played before as well as those that have never picked up a stick.   We will focus on stick skill development mixed in with some fun. This is a great way to try out the sport. The sessions will be on Friday’s from 3:00-4:00 on North Field starting on 9/13. The sessions will be run by Riley Hellstein. Riley is a recent grad from Fairfield University where she 4 year player. She was the MAAC conference player of the year her senior year.

  • Location:   North Field (next to Lilly)
  • Time:  1pm-2pm (Sundays)
  • Days:   9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10,20
  • Required Equipment:   Stick, Mouthpiece, Goggles

Once again we will be conducting free fall clinics for 1st and 2nd grade.    The sessions are for girls that have played before as well as those that have never picked up a stick.   We will focus on stick skill development mixed in with some fun so the girls have some fun. This is a great way to try out the sport. The sessions will be on Sunday’s from 1-2 on North Field starting on 9/15.
