	Boys Youth Lacrosse Clinics Canceled for March 13th

Please note due to a school conflict the boys youth lacrosse clinics scheduled for March 13th at Cider Mill School are now canceled. This cancelation will impact first through fourth grade boys.

Clinics scheduled on Mar 14th for the 5th - 8th graders will be held as scheduled.

WLA Boys’ 2010 Travel Lacrosse Tryouts for Grades 6^th, 7^th and 8^th

Tryout Overview

Tryouts for grades 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th will be held on Friday March 19^th, Saturday March 20^th, and Sunday March 21^st.

All Tryouts will be held at the Wilton High School Stadium Turf Field and the times are as follows:

Friday, March 19^th – Wilton High School Stadium Turf – 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM

6^th Grade Boys – 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM

7^th Grade Boys – 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

8^th Grade Boys – 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Saturday March 20^th – Wilton High School Stadium Turf – 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

6^th Grade Boys – 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

7^th Grade Boys – 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM

8^th Grade Boys – 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM

Sunday, March 21^st – Wilton High School Stadium Turf – 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

6^th Grade Boys – 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

7^th Grade Boys – 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

8^th Grade Boys – 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

All Players must arrive 20 minutes prior to their tryout time to confirm registration and receive tryout pinnies/numbers.
All Players are required to wear full lacrosse gear (helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouthpiece, etc.) to participate in each tryout session.
Parents are not permitted to stay and watch tryout sessions – please drop off and pick up at respective times.
All tryout sessions will be staffed with Wilton Youth Lacrosse Coaches and Independent Evaluators who will be responsible for determining skill levels and team assignments.
All prospective travel players should attend all tryout sessions.

Travel Lacrosse – Priority Spring Sport for 2009 Season

As stated in the 2010 Wilton Youth Lacrosse Boys Program Description and Philosophy documents that are posted on the Wilton Lax web site, travel lacrosse must be the players’ priority sport in order to participate on the most competitive teams.

For those playing on the grade specific A team, lacrosse must be your priority sport – no exceptions. If a player misses a game or practice due to participation in another sport he will be moved to the B team level.

Tryout Postponement due to Weather

If inclement and/or cold weather impacts the March 19^th, 20^th, and 21^st tryout schedule, the tryout session(s) will be reschedule or moved indoor and held in the Wilton Field


	GIRLS YOUTH LACROSSE INDOOR CLINIC - March 7

The Wilton Lacrosse Association is pleased to sponsor a series of Indoor Lacrosse Clinics on Sundays leading up to the season.

Clinics are open to all players, however any NEW player must complete a waiver.
Register 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. Cost $10. All players must have mouthguard, goggles and stick.

The next Indoor Clinic for girls in grades 3-8 is Sunday March 7 from 10:30 - 12noon @ Wilton H.S. Field House.

	Summer Camp & Elite Team Play through Warrior Pride

After a successful fall campain, Warrior Pride will be offering BOYS Elite Summer Team play for grades 5-12th as well as a one week camp for BOYS and GIRLS the week of June 21 - 24th.

Warrior Pride is run and managed by the Wilton High School Varsity coaching staff. All coaching is provided by the High School coaches and WHS alumni who are currently playing at the Division I and III level. Our focus is on Wilton players with our goal of advancing individual skills and promoting Wilton team concepts.

	WILTON BOYS YOUTH LACROSSE WINTER INDOOR CLINIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Wilton Lacrosse Association is pleased to announce that we have greatly expanded winter play opportunities and will be running Boys Youth Lacrosse Clinics at the Wilton Field House and at the Cider Mill Gyms starting on January 09, 2010 and ending on March 27, 2010. For 1^st through 4th graders, the clinics will consist of hour long sessions that focus on stick skill basics and fundamentals. For grades 5 through 8, the clinics will consist of one and a half hour long sessions that will be geared toward more advanced stick skills / drills and games. The cost for the Winter Indoor Clinics is $60. A schedule of all the sessions is posted under the Boys Youth tab of this website.

The clinics are open to all boys and are a great way to get aquainted with the game….so whether you are brand new to the sport of lacrosse or have a few years of experience, please sign up to join us at the Winter Indoor Clinics. It’s a great way to get your sticks ready for the Spring 2010 Season.
